Anime Review - Persona 4 the Animation

I will admit I haven't watched Trinity Soul to this point. I will watch it someday but I don't know whether it will affect my rating on this anime. I haven't played the game either, but I want to someday.

But now to the point...People usually expect animes based off video games to suck, since well it's better to play it than to watch it. True, but I haven't played the game yet. I haven't got any PlayStation 2 at home as of now. Though, I'm playing a persona-related game online called Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine and that had a positive effect on my rating for this anime. And so this anime made it to my favourites.

Now for the review.

Story 9/10
Beggining was a bit repetitive and slow-paced. But not the type that bored me to death, for a unknown reason it was pretty nice. Probably because I liked the unveiling of the characters' personalities. After the repetitiveness, the anime took up the puzzling aspect of a detective anime and when Naoto joined the team, all got totally complicated, so as the characters were resolving it, that amused me. Got 9 points out of 10 in the end.

Art 10/10
No flaws. The artstyle maked the characters look pretty mature, and how they looked like with glasses was lovely GJ

Sound 9/10
Nothing astonishing, but sound was quite catchy.

Character 10/10
YES! Advanced personality. Not all the unidentificable black and white, relatively mature way of thinking, even some unique kind of traits. I really liked the characters of this anime. Yu Narukami's personality amused me at times. GJ

Enjoyment 10/10
Combining touching episodes, investigation episodes, fighting, and simple slice of life episodes, adding a tad bit of good humour and gay jokes + SMT:I demon referrences, this anime really WAS enjoyable for me and I can't deduct any point from it. GJ

Overall 10/10
Favourited. Awesome!

Recommended for: All 'Imaginers' who enjoy what I named in enjoyment.

Allen_Kanda's Journal #02 - Back to Imagine.

This Saturday was probably the first one I got out of bed after opening my eyes for the first time. I looked at my Android cuz it was reporting new mails. Usually it is some unimporant spam, forexample something from FFR or maybe Avaaz, but this mail was about my favourite MMORPG of current, Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. It recently got migrated from Aeria to Atlus and the migration took longer than everyone thought. I was thinking it might be out in May, but the mail said IT JUST GOT RELEASED! I was so happy I went straight online.

Call it addiction if you like, but I believe I'm honestly able to stop when I really desire to. It's a thing of will, mine can get strong enough to surpass almost anything if I really wish to. As long as you believe in it, there's nothing to be afraid of, well in terms of drugs that weren't originally intended to be drugs, like PC, TV, games... Maybe I can do the same with soft drugs too. But meh...rather not. Yet...Though caffeine is a drug and I do that constantly. :I

Oh well whatever. Today I decided to help in Stepmania Paradise revival. I hope I won't forget about it, as I don't manage to get active on DGD or VO, despite loving the topics of both. Ironically, about a year and something ago, maybe even two years ago I couldn't understand how people could get to love Vocaloid so much. I liked it, but not to the extent of loving it and blabbering about it everywhere.

But now I do perfectly understand. Thank you Vocamania. :) I think I wouldn't even be alive any longer if it wasn't for VM. Once I stood on the side of a road, willing to give up my life, but then I recalled the people from VM might need me and decided to think about it once more. Turning back, all of my current problems got solved in the meantime.

This story is so repeated....

Anime Review - D.Gray-man

Again, revised one! Or more like...rewritten one. The one I wrote there was really bad.

D.Gray-man makes the ring of a classical generic shonen at first glance. With that you can expect long fightings, bad animation, boring fillers, etc etc... but not with this anime.
I have to admit, when I looked at the length I was hestitant. I expected something similar to Naruto or Bleach, but I still got into it since I wanted to see whether this is also a let-down. And the contrary happened - D.Gray-man became one of my all-time favourites and regained my trust in shonen animes.

Actually it has a seinen ring to it. And the manga is godly.

Story - 10/10
Seems low-paced at the start, but in the second half it caught up into a stable sequence and I couldn't clearly tell the borders of the arc which is a really good thing. It even begins to take your breath and pulls you into shocks. Some episodes show the unexpected and what you thought was impossible. Make sure you don't give up on the first half, though. Detail: This is probably the only anime I saw with enjoyable fillers that actually go to the plot very well.

Animation - 9/10
Can't say it's flawless. But it's really nice for a shonen anime. The characters mature in the progress which is a positive thing, and the boys are drawn very handsome. Detail: In the manga, the recent artstyle is pretty much 10/10.

Sound - 10/10
Openings: Nice, Endings: Nice, Seiyuu: Fine. All's well.

Character - 10/10
Yep. The character of the characters was clear to tell in the most cases. A kind guy who wants to help everyone, a nice girl that cares about everyone, an arrogant sexy bastard <3 who doesn't show his deepest emotions, and a cheerful perverted young man! You can describe most of the cast as easy like this. Can't put down points.

Enjoyment - 10/10 - goes even above.
This anime can be seen several times after eachother and still be enjoyed by some people, I'm one of them. I can't say any more than I loved it.

Overall - 10/10
Favourited. There are not much anime that turn out like this. I have to admit it wasn't the MOST ORIGINAL anime I've ever seen but...I don't really care about that much anymore.
Who do I reccomend this to: All people that like to watch shonen animes and would love to see them develop slightly more. Then, girls who like to see pretty boys, and yaoi shippers. And basically anyone beside people who rate their anime very strictly, people who seek for incredibly original anime and people who have a grudge against shonens.

Anime Review - Tenjou Tenge

Normally I just copy over my own reviews from MAL, but this one is revised.

Tenjou Tenge. A grand name by first hearing probably, but to be honest... This anime isn't good at all. It's the type of anime that will bore you to death, eventually.
Story - 2/10
Up to episode 9 everything was fine, story was decent and all. But then they decided to butt in the huge flashback. It was overmentioned already, so why extend it and always go back in time. It literally lost its story at that point.
Art - 2/10
The anatomy was blown, the character designs weren't nice at all to me... Naruto was better.
Sound - 4/10

Catchy opening, but nothing grand. And nothing else is mentionable...
Character - 2/10
To name the characters in other words - Strange face. Annoying girl. Try-to-act-cool boy, Unimportant black hopper. ...and Maya. She was the only character I liked a bit, FROM THE ENTIRE CAST. But not in child form.... Better than School Days's cast, atleast that went well on this anime.
Enjoyment - 1/10
To put it simple, I was bored as hell with this one....I tried to watch it, but I almost slept in. God, why the long flashback?! We know the outcome, so why remind on it all....
Overall - 2/10
Bored me to death. Watch this only if tits are all that matter.

Anime Review - School Days

Short version: *epic orbital holy facepalm*

Long version:
You might just stumble across my review and say haters gonna hate, but I dislike this anime for a legit reason.
Let me get it straight- I don´t hate psychological anime, I have one in my favourites, actually. But this anime features incredibly stupid characters, that make the story go all facepalm-worthy. I couldn´t enjoy it well and raged every second. The ending was decent though, and this anime only describes "psychological" at the end. Moving onto the single particles...I´ll start with the best.

Sound - 9/10
It wasn´t a OST to throw me out of the chair, but I liked it. Opening was indeed great music and the EDs were listenable, though I mostly skipped them. But see no flaws, good job.

Art - 6/10
Sometimes the movement got stuck on a picture, and I think it could have been done better, but it was OK

Rest is below average.

Story - 3/10 At first the story got me thinking "This will be a sweet shoujo anime." I didn´t look at the genres but I heard it has several endings so I can pick. Then I got mindfucked at the end of episode 1. After that I got busy and recently picked it up again.... I was astonished (in a really bad way) how the story was affected by character stupidity and it made me hate almost all of the cast. So I sticked to the bad end and I must say it could´ve been way nicer and better.

Enjoyment - 1/10 Character stupidity was very dominant, I couldn´t enjoy the plot of the anime at all. I really facepalmed all the way through the anime, sometimes even past my facepalm limits (orbital facepalm) and raged out on Skype to my friends from the Vocamania community.

And lastly, the worst part of the anime...
Characters - 1/10 but actually some sub-zero number.
I swear...The characters acted all irrational and stupid. I had no idea what was going on in their brains during the story, the only thing I got was that they snapped to the end. I needed orbital facepalms, rages and tableflips to pull through this.

Overall: 2/10
Considering most of the anime I watch I usually rate higher than 5, and the worst rating I've ever given is 2, it was a really bad anime, although the 2 is high, meaning it's still better than Tenjou Tenge IMO. But I can't reccomend it to anyone. Really.....Don´t watch this, unless you want to blow your brain with facepalms.

Anime Review - Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi

Mnemosyne is an anime which has a name hard to spell, but it's quite enjoyable, I gotta admit... I liked it, but I can't say it would be something truly breathtaking.

Story - 9/10
Looking at the storyline of these from a broader aspect, it was indeed nicely done. The characters had no objective at first, but they developed into something really grand. It was really very original, but it could be interpreted in a slightly more breathtaking way for sure. 9 is a really good mark.

Art - 8/10
Looking mature there, aren't we? Artstyle was nice, though sometimes it was drawn a bit too spicy for my mind ( o.///o). And the males could've turned out sliightly better.

Sound - 10/10
Saw no severe flaws in voice acting, and the opening and ending were rockish which I really like. Full point count.

Enjoyment - 7/10
45-minute episodes (Doctor Who style lolol) are pretty tough to bite through. But if I were to compare Doctor Who to this (i know now you're going to ask what the heck am I doing? xD), Mnemosyne's episode really seemed 45 minute long while Doctor Who seemed like 25. The interestingness of Mnemosyne was decent, but it could be way better indeed. Still above average, not much repetitiveness and not much flashbacks. Some moments left me like WTF am I watching but in the end I liked it much more than hated.

Overall - 8/10
High 8 indeed. I was thinking a while whether 8 or 9, I might raise it to 9 later. It is a good anime, but nothing that I would favourite and adore forever. Also could be a bit better, but I'm content with how it turned out. :)

To whom I recommend this?: If you seek for extreme originality and detective animes, AND like boobies and lesbian and heterosexual sex hints, this anime is paradise for you. If you like some of it, you may want to give it a try :)

Allen_Kanda's Journal #01 - Yay! Tags!!!

Exactly what I lacked on yullenholic.blog.cz.
Time to abandon that and start here. But I need to get the hang of it..
I hope I can design the layouts atleast decently here. I'm not really a fan of pre-made layouts. Chose a simplistic theme so making a new banner shouldn't be too hard...should it?

Now to get the set arounds ready. Changing the blog to English somewhere would be first. I hope I will be able to keep this blog alive.
